How cloud-based applications benefit small business owners from Maryland to Tennessee
What precisely does cloud computing have to do with the Great Smokey Mountains? I wasn’t thinking about this topic while fly fishing in a creek near Pigeon Gorge, Tennessee yesterday. Our group had hired a guide and during the drive to his special spot we made the usual introductions; where do we come from, what do we do, how our guide caught his first fish at the age of 4 and was ‘hooked’ ever since.
So, here I am, surrounded by absolute beauty while casting, trying to concentrate on feeling the weight of the line when it’s fully loaded when our guide turned and asked me how the cloud could help him grow his fly-fishing business. I wasn’t sure if it was my style or my surprise over the incongruity of the question, that caused me to hook a(nother) tree but after our expedition, we sat down over a cup of coffee and I listened to our guide outline what he was looking to accomplish and it was the same list that I hear from small business owners everywhere I go.
